Students Union stages dharna to reopen the college at Govt college Gurdaspur

The educational institutions across the state were closed down by the Punjab government during the lockdown and there is a huge outcry among the students for not reopening the college even after the unlock. Punjab Students Union has organized a dharna at Government College Gurdaspur to reopen the college.

Students protesting in Gurdaspur chanted slogans against the Punjab government. On this occasion the student leaders of Punjab Students Union said that the state government had closed down the colleges due to the Corona epidemic. Even after the unlock, where every government department, school and other institution has been opened, colleges in the state are still not allowed to open. As a result, he is unable to complete his next semester. The students said that Guru Nanak Dev University has made it clear that even though online classes are being conducted for the students at present, the papers would be conducted offline.
