Sangrur, January 21

The dictatorial edict being issued by the administration of Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s government with an aim of crushing the farmers’ movement was withdrawn after the issue was raised by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab and the people. In a press statement issued by the party District incharge Sangrur Davinder Singh Badesha and youth leader Narinder Bharaj, it was stated that the administration of the Captain’s government had to back down from its decision following AAP’s opposition to it

The leaders said that Captain Amarinder Singh was similar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as he was also using petty maneuvers like the central government to suppress the farmers’ movement, so that PM Modi does not get angry. They said although the Captain government under a well-conceived conspiracy was issuing such orders but after seeing the public outrage, he transferred SDM Babandeep Singh, who had signed the official order.
