Special camp to be set up for youth loan applications in Barnala : Tej Partap Singh Phoolka

A special camp would be set up at the District Administrative Complex to expedite the applications of the youth of Barnala district who had applied for loans from banks for self-employment so that the youth would not have to resort to loans to start their own business. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Barnala while presiding over the meeting of District Advisory Council of Nehru Youth Center.
On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner said that the volunteers of Nehru Youth Center could play a vital role in the campaign against straw and other constructive activities. He said that burning of straw not only causes deadly diseases but also reduces the fertility of the land, especially during the Corona period when burning of straw is extremely harmful. He said that the youth clubs should play a pioneering role in this campaign to create awareness among the farmers in the villages.
Referring to the ‘Fit India Campaign’, he said that the youth should be made more aware about the fitness as well as the qualifications in the Army / Para Military Force / Punjab Police. Deputy Commissioner Barnala also said that self help would be encouraged by setting up loan camps in collaboration with Nehru Youth Center / Youth Services Department and various banks. He said that the youth who are in arrears of self-employment loan applications should apply for this job. Take advantage of the camp. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Phoolka said that the residents of the district should be encouraged by the volunteers not to use plastic and to keep their surroundings clean.
Deputy Commissioner Barnala asked the authorities to make the clubs more active so that the youth power could be used properly.
Earlier speaking in the meeting, Mrs. Paramjit, District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Barnala and Mr. Sandeep Singh Ghand, Senior Accountant, said that this year the Nehru Yuva Kendra has taken action against self-reliance scheme, COVID 2019, youth in natural calamities. The role of, Fit India Campaign, Sanitation Campaign and Water Conservation has been given prominence and accordingly various trainings for Self Help have been included in the Sewing Embroidery Center for Girls, Block and District Level Sports Fair.
