Amritsar, January 12

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami has welcomed and appreciated the resolution passed by the senate of New Jersey condemning the systematic and organized killings of Sikhs in 1984 in Delhi and other parts of the country.

“On the instigation of the then Congress government, thousands of innocent Sikhs were massacred at Delhi and several other places in the country in November 1984. This was the anti-humanity thinking of the Congress party which cannot be accepted in the society”, said S. Harjinder Singh.

SGPC president said while the governments in foreign countries are condemning the Sikh genocide but the Congress party is awarding the accused leaders with big appointments and rubbing salt on the wounds of Sikhs.

SGPC President thanked members of the senate of New Jersey and appreciated the Sikh personalities who played important role in getting this resolution passed.
