SGPC President strongly condemned Kiran Bedi’s remarks against Sikhs

Amritsar, June 15

Strongly objecting to the remarks made by former IPS officer Kiran Bedi against Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned it.

Advocate Dhami said that Kiran Bedi should read Sikh history so that she would know that during the rule of Abdali when invaders invaded India and looted valuables and women from there to sell in Ghazni markets. Singh, who was always on the lookout for the protection of the people, used to attack the looters at 12 o’clock at night and deliver the looted goods and deliver the women to their homes.

He said that Kiran Bedi was originally from Punjab so she should have an understanding of Sikh history. But Kiran Bedi’s remarks about the Sikhs are shocking and shameful, which has hurt the sentiments of the entire nation. He said that legal notice was being sent to Kiran Bedi by the SGPC so that appropriate legal action could be taken against her.
