Sewa Kendras to be back to working in Barnala district but with appointments only

Public services are being resumed through service centers in the Barnala district from tomorrow (May 12). Disclosing this today, Deputy Commissioner Tej Partap Singh Phulka said that the opening hours of the service center would be from 9 am to 5 pm with no appointment from 9 am to 1 pm and from 1 pm to 5 pm. Citizens will be able to access the service center only through the appointment made from the Kova app or dgrpg.punjab.gov.in.

He said that under the first phase 5 Seva Kendras were being opened in Barnala including Seva Kendra DC Office Barnala, Seva Kendra SDM Dafta Tapa, Seva Kendra Sub Tehsil Bhadaur, Seva Kendra Dhanola, and Seva Kendra Mahil Kalan. Under the first phase, only 153 services prescribed by the Punjab Government would be provided in these service centers.

He said that the staff of the service centers has been directed to ensure the prevention guidelines of the Punjab Government and Health Department from COVID 19. Strict action will be taken if the employees posted in the service centers are found violating the rules issued by the Punjab Government.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the service recipients to wear masks and take special care of social distance so as to prevent coronavirus. He said that the staff of the service centers has also been directed to ensure compliance with the guidelines of the health department.
