Under the door-to-door employment mission of the Punjab government, 19 youths of the district were provided employment in various branches of Punjab National Bank, Hoshiarpur. Deputy Commissioner Apneet Ryat handed over the appointment letters to the youth during a function held at District Administrative Complex Hoshiarpur today. The enthusiastic youth who received the appointment letter appreciated the initiative of the Punjab Government and thanked the district administration and the Punjab National Bank. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Harbir Singh and DGM Punjab National Bank Rajesh Prasad was also present.
Giving the appointment letter, the Deputy Commissioner wished a bright future for the selected youth and said that the district administration was making all-out efforts to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth of the district whether it was a job or loan for starting self-employment. Get it done. He said that the hard-working team of District Employment and Trade Bureau was working day and night in this process.
It may be recalled that Punjab National Bank had created vacancies for various branches in the district in which many youths from the district had applied through the District Employment and Trade Bureau. The bank selected the eligible youth on the basis of merit after which the appointment letters were handed over to them today.
Apneet Riyat also held a meeting with various departments regarding the preparations for the 7th Mega Employment Fair to be held in April and directed them to find maximum number of jobs. He said that 10,000 vacancies would be collected from the district for the mega job fair. Meanwhile, he also asked the Lead Bank Manager to collect job roles from various banks so that maximum employment could be provided to the youth of the district. He said that in the month of April employment fairs would also be organized at block and tehsil level to cover the youth from every corner of the district.
Lead Bank Manager Ram Krishan Chopra, Placement Officer Mangesh Sood, Career Counselor Aditya Rana besides officials of various departments were also present on the occasion.
