Saragarhi foundation honors Jawan Gurjit Singh in Ferozepur

Gurtej Singh, who was martyred in the Galvan Valley, from the Saragarhi Foundation institution at Gurdwara Saragarhi in Ferozepur, was honored and the President to confer the Gallantry Award on Shaheed Gurtej Singh for his immense martyrdom.

Retired Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Kahlo said that Gurdj Singh, a martyr of Punjab 3 who was stationed at the China border in the Galwan Valley of Leh Ladakh, was under duty without Chinese arms when Chinese troops had large iron wires. When Bharti army was attacked by Brusho, Gurtej Singh snatched arms from him and killed 8 to 10 Chinese soldiers and killed himself.
