Sangrur: Punjab state commission for scheduled castes visits village Bhatia Khurd

Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Bhatia Khurd village in Malerkotla sub-division, belonging to the Dalit community, refused to allow the other party to occupy the land purchased on Chhetanwala Road. A four member team of Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes visited village Bhatia Khurd today to hear the complaint received.


Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Mr. Rajkumar Hans, Mr. Darshan Singh and Mr. Navpreet Singh, members of the four member team of the Commission listened attentively to both the parties on the occasion. After the hearing, all the members including Mrs. Paramjit Kaur issued orders to the officers of Police and Revenue Department to resolve the matter on priority basis. Tehsildar Malerkotla Badaldin and DSP Ordered Rajan Sharma to send to the Commission by November 11, 2020 a report on the action taken on the land dispute.
