Punjab Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa and MLA Anmol Gagan Mann canvassed in support of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmail Singh from Sangrur constituency on Wednesday.

Candidate Gurmail Singh along with minister Jimpa and MLA Gagan visited various villages/towns including Bhattiwal Kalan, Basiarkh, Naraingarh, Ramgarh, Kapial, Retgarh, Rampura, Anaj Mandi Bhawanigarh, Jhaneri, Batriana, Ghabdan, Bhindra, Baliyan, Rupaheri, Saro and Mangwal and other places and appealed people to make Singh the winner with a record margin this time.

Addressing the people during the election campaign, Gurmail Singh said that the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the last three months has taken many historic decisions for the people of Punjab in the public interest. While being a Member of Parliament from Sangrur, he addressed the problems of not only Sangrur but the whole of Punjab meticulously in the Parliament.

“Just like CM Bhagwant Mann raised the voice of Sangrur in Parliament with the same spirit, I will raise the issues of Sangrur people in Parliament,” Gurmail Singh said.

Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Zimpa said that the people of Sangrur have fully made up their minds to send Singh to Lok Sabha. The government of Aam Aadmi Party is giving corruption and mafia-free administration to Punjab and is continuously taking decisions in the public interest. People will again vote for the AAP candidate as they already have witnessed the good works.

Addressing the people, MLA Anmol Gagan Mann said that the previous Congress government had not done any work for four and a half years and tried to divert the public’s attention by changing the chief minister to hide its failure a few months before the elections. On the other hand, Chief Minister Mann is taking pro-people decisions from day one and running the government honestly.

She said that the Sangrur constituency has been the stronghold of the party since 2014 and party candidate Gurmail Singh will win this seat with a thumping majority.
