Punjab Roadways Sub Depot Fazilka under the leadership of Director State Transport Punjab Bhupinder Singh is running buses on different routes daily for the passengers. This bus service is being provided to the passengers starting from 7 am to 7 pm. As many as 540 passengers have traveled on Punjab Roadways Sub Depot Fazilka buses since May 22 under Mission Fateh. This information was given by Arvind Kumar Sharma, General Manager, Punjab Roadways Sub Depot, Fazilka.
General Manager Sharma said that in view of Covid-19, buses were being run on the routes from Fazilka to Ferozepur and from Fazilka to Abohar for the convenience of the passengers. He said that buses would run on other routes in the future also. He also appealed to the passengers to avoid false rumors of overcharging. He said that only normal fare was being charged from the passengers.
He also informed that special sanitizer was also being provided during the bus service started. All the passengers traveling in those buses will be required to wear masks for which the passengers are also being made aware regularly from time to time. He said that before traveling on buses, every passenger is scanned with a thermal scanner and other health measures were also taking place without any hindrance.
