Desh Bhagat University Celebrates Diwali with Festive Spirit and Creativity

Harpreet Kaur Wins First Prize in Classroom Decoration

Mandi Gobindgarh, 19 October: The Faculty of Education at Desh Bhagat University celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, with great enthusiasm, creativity, and joy. The university campus came alive with vibrant decorations and festive energy as students participated in a range of engaging competitions including Rangoli Making, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Candle Decoration, Mehndi, Diya Decoration, and Classroom Decoration. Each event showcased the students’ artistic talents and festive spirit.
Students from all departments under the Faculty of Education took part with exceptional zeal, making the celebration even more lively and colorful. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, who extended warm Diwali greetings and conveyed their best wishes for happiness and prosperity to all.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti and Director of the Faculty of Education Dr. Precious appreciated the creativity and effort of the participants, encouraging students to continue exploring their artistic potential.
In the various competitions, the following students stood out: Rangoli Making: First Prize – Nitu, Second Prize – Veer Kaur,
Slogan Writing: First Prize – Samaran Kaur, Candle Decoration: First Prize – Sukhdeep Kaur, Second Prize – Suman Kumari,
Mehndi Competition: First Prize – Karan, Diya Decoration: First Prize – Harpreet Kaur, Second Prize – Mehak. In Classroom Decoration Harpreet Kaur won the first Prize.
The celebration concluded with a round of applause and appreciation for all participants. The Diwali festivities at Desh Bhagat University truly reflected the spirit of light, unity, and creativity, lighting up the campus with joy and cultural vibrancy.
As a token of appreciation, the DBU management also distributed gifts to all faculty and staff members, extending warm wishes for a prosperous and joyful Diwali.
