Punjab Grameen bank provides services to unemployed youth in rural areas

The Fact News Service Sangrur, January 30 Punjab Grameen Bank has been playing a vital role in providing employment to the needy unemployed in the rural areas by providing loans in a transparent and convenient manner. This information was given by the Regional Manager Punjab Grameen Bank Sangrur. Harpal Singh gave. He said that the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on January 25, 2021 during the virtual function of the state level Mega Self Employment Loan Fair had lauded the efforts being made by the bank for the younger generation. Mr. Harpal Singh said that in the current year Sangrur Regional Office Punjab Grameen Bank has provided loan of Rs. 42 crore 70 lakh to 2954 beneficiaries for dairy business. He said that loans of more than Rs. 49 lakh were given to 46 different self help groups in rural areas. He said that each self help group has a group of about 10 beneficiaries which will directly benefit 460 persons. He said that in addition to this, loans of around Rs. 54 lakh were provided to 21 beneficiaries for running various small businesses so that the unemployed youth could support themselves and their families financially by running their own business. He said that Punjab Grameen Bank was working hard to provide loan facility to unemployed aspirants and needy aspirants for doing business on merit basis. He said that the bank has provided loans of Rs. 66 crore 14 lakh to 1528 beneficiaries engaged in agriculture in the district.
