Punjab Govt commits to buy one grain of wheat crop: MLA Bajwa

The Punjab government has completed all the preparations for the procurement of wheat which would start from April 10. The record of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh so far has been that the Punjab government under his leadership has never allowed the farmers to roam in the mandis. Disclosing this here today MLA of Qadian constituency Fatehjang Singh Bajwa said that although the Union government had tried to avoid government procurement in various ways but the state government stood by the farmers. He said that the wheat crop was ready to come in the mandis and the state government would not allow any difficulty in selling the crop to any farmer. Bajwa said that although there was a huge increase in the number of cases of corona at present, the government would procure the crop in the mandis following the instructions of the health department and following the social distance. He also asked the officers of Mandi Board and Arhats to make the farmers aware about Covid-19. He said that the farmers must also bring the crop in the mandi and apply the mask on the stated date. He said that the government would make strong arrangements in the mandis under the Covid-19 protocol.
