As many as 79 migrants from West Bengal and Bihar stranded due to curfew and lockdown situation in Fazilka district have been sent to Ludhiana railway station by buses under Mission Fateh. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Arvind Pal Singh Sandhu. He said that these migrants had registered on the website www.covidhelp.punjab.gov.in.
Sandhu said that 36 migrants from West Bengal and 43 from Bihar would return home from Ludhiana by special trains running at different times. He said that in order to make the Mission Fateh campaign more transparent, all the migrants have been screened. He said that the buses were regularly sanitized and special care has been taken for the provision of food packets, drinking water to the NRIs.
