The unemployed teachers and anganwadi works opposed and interrupted his speech during his visit to Guruharshai to inaugurate the four-ways road – Faridkot-Sadiq-Deep Singh Wala-Guruharahai, Goluwala, Welcome Gate and laying of foundation stone of Railway Skywalk Bridge.

Chief Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi was in Guruharsahai constituency represented by Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, MLA and former Cabinet Minister.

The Chief Minister had to stop his speech for two-three times on account of protest by the teachers, anaganwadi workers.  However, CM talked to them with assurance to look into their demands.  The protesters had in advance entered the ‘pandal’ and strong protest was lodged.  However, elaborate security arrangements were made by the police.

CM however from the stage said, all this had been by the opposition parties but it hardly affects him and the government.
