Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President and former Union Minister, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has expressed deep concern over the Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) attack at Punjab Police’s Intelligence headquarters in Mohali. Expressing concern over this recent attack, Dhindsa urged the Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann to immediately shift his focus towards strengthening the deteriorating law and order situation of the state.

In a statement issued here, Sukhdev Dhindsa has also called upon the people of the State to remain vigilant of the conspiracies being hatched by the anti-Punjab forces to disturb the atmosphere of Punjab.

Presently the Mann government needs to take major steps to maintain peace, tranquility and communal harmony in Punjab and to provide a safe environment to the people of the state, said Dhindsa.

He said that just to disrupt the peace and communal harmony of the state, anti-Punjab forces are carrying out petty incidents like bomb blasts to create fear and panic among the people.

The recent bomb blast in Ludhiana in broad daylight and now this RPG attack at Punjab Police’s Intelligence headquarters in Mohali are a certain proof that how anti-Punjab forces are trying to disturb the peace of the State. In view of all these incidents, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann needs to pay special attention to taking stringent steps to curb these incidents, said Sukhdev Dhindsa.

He said that the anti-social elements from now and then play clumsy political gimmicks to create fear and suspicion among the people by dividing Punjab into communal and religious grounds and unfortunate incidents that happened in recent times are also a part of these gimmicks, said Dhindsa.

Sukhdev Dhindsa said that the people of Punjab are peace-loving people. Living together and mutual brotherhood is the beauty of Punjab but the anti-Punjab forces by creating an atmosphere of terror and fear among the people with such incidents want to succeed in their agenda. Every Punjabi needs to be aware of such antisocial elements.
