In the letter, Punjab Home Department also told UP to ensure that necessary arrangements for his transfer be made keeping in view his medical condition.
It may be remembered that earlier Punjab has flatly refused to hand over Ansari to UP due to his medical conditions. A board of PGI had also confirmed that Ansari has severe back pain and he is also suffering from heart ailments.
UP has demanded custody of Ansari for cases registered against him in the state. After Punjab’s refusal UP had moved Supreme Court which ordered that Ansari be handed over to UP with 15 days.
