Punbus and PRTC contract workers strike ends, bus movement starts

The strike of contract workers of PUNBUS and PRTC ended on Wednesday. People have breathed a sigh of relief with this decision. Private buses were being available to the passengers within the state, but there was a shortage of buses to reach Delhi or Rajasthan. Only Haryana Roadways buses were operating on the Delhi route and only Delhi tickets were being given.

Members of Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS, PRTC Contract Workers Union went on a gherao in Patiala on Tuesday. Navraj Batish, General Manager, Punjab Roadways Jalandhar said that there has been a loss of eight lakhs.
