Amid the reports of power crisis in the country, Power Minister who assured that there is acute availability of coal in the country warned Tata Power for sending ‘baseless’ messages of power shortage to consumers.

Cautioning Tata Power for sending coal crisis messages to the consumer, the Power Minister termed it as an act of irresponsible behavior.

It is to be noted that Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has urged Delhi consumers to use electricity judiciously at this critical time.

“This is to inform you that due to the limited coal availability in generation plants across North India, power supply from October 9, 2021, is a critical level. We are trying our best to arrange for adequate power and provide uninterrupted supply,” read the public notice issued by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited.

“We request you to be a responsible citizen and use electricity in this hour of crisis judiciously,” it further read.
