The team of Punjab Police along with an SHO has been sent into quarantine after one of the thieves they caught was tested positive for COVID-19. Including the personnel who caught the thieves, a total of 17 Policemen have been sent into quarantine.
Along with the policemen, the judge in whose court the accused were resented has also self-quarantined. The Police were informed that the thieves, Navjot Singh Navi and Sourav Sehgal were on their way to sell a stolen motorcycle and a mobile phone. They were nabbed at a Naka set up for them. Sourav complained of cough and cold and was later tested positive for COVID-19.
The health department will now run tests on the police personnel involved in the arrest.
