Phagwara couple enters wedlock amid lockdown, cops cut cake

Chandigarh, April 23

While following the social distancing and rules of curfew, a couple in Phagwara married in presence of cops in Phagwara on Wednesday.

According to the reports, Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Nawanpind village took permission from the authorities and they excused them amid the curfew. He reached Phagwara along with his father Harbans Singh, sister Kuldip Kaur and Rajbir Kaur and his brother Baljit Singh.

Only 10 members from each side were present and Sukhwinder Singh married Khushbir Kaur in Gurudwara Bhagatpura, Phagwara.

Also, the cops arranged a cake for the newlywed couple and they celebrated following all the norms of curfew in the presence of Sub-inspector Raghbir Singh and SHO Usha Rani.
