Petrol price hike: Congress workers protest in Gurugram

Congress workers demonstrated in the city on Friday to protest against the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and gas cylinders. The workers raised slogans against the BJP government in front of the petrol pump located in the Police Commissioner’s office. In this demonstration, Pankaj Davar, Chairman of Congress Business Cell, Sudhir Chaudhary, who was Congress candidate from Pataudi Assembly, Rahul Yadav, Inder Singh Saini, Bhim Singh Yadav, Nirmal Yadav, Advocate Suman Sehrawat, Amit Sharma, Amit Kochhar and other workers are mainly present. During the demonstration, Pankaj Davar said that due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the youth are facing unemployment everywhere, the business class is suffering losses of lakhs of crores every day. Despite these circumstances, the BJP government is becoming ruthless every day. Congress workers under the leadership of former ministers Sukhbir Kataria, Pradeep Singh Zaildar, former candidates Rao Kamalbir Singh and Shamshuddin demonstrated at a petrol pump located in Sector 15 Part Two of Gurugram. Activists say that after May 4, the price of petrol, diesel has increased for the 23rd time. Former minister Sukhbir Kataria said that in this epidemic, while the public is completely stricken, the government’s increase in the price of petrol and diesel exposes the inhuman face of the government. Pradeep Singh Zaildar said that due to the second wave of corona across the country, lakhs of people have lost their lives and the livelihood of crores of people has been ruined. At a time when farmers have to sow seeds in the field and the economic condition of the people is already dire, the government is continuously increasing the prices of petrol and diesel.
