PEDA subsidizes installation of domestic biogas plants in Faridkot

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) is providing subsidized installation of domestic biogas plants in the district to protect the environment and encourage the people to use domestic natural gas. This not only saves the environment, but also saves a huge amount of money on the use of domestic and natural gas to the beneficiaries on a large scale with cheap biogas and good fertilizer. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner  Vimal Kumar Setia. He appealed to the people of the district to avail maximum benefits of this scheme. Disclosing this here today District Manager PEDA  Tripatjit Singh said that for setting up of biogas plant a subsidy of Rs. 1600 as additional subsidy. He said that with the installation of biogas plant we get cheaper, cleaner gas and better fertilizer and we can save our traditional energy reserves like oil, coal, wood etc. for future generations and also clean our environment. Stays clean In addition, we can get rid of countless diseases, such as cancer and asthma. He said that PEDA would set up 4 and 6 cubic meter capacity biogas plants. Beneficiary must have 5 animals for setting up a biogas plant with a capacity of 4 cubic meters and 8 animals for 6 cubic meters.
