Chandigarh, April 15: Coronavirus survivor receives guard of honour from Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon and medical staff

A Coronavirus survivor from Patiala received a guard of honour from the Civil Surgeon, Deputy Commissioner and the medical staff of Government Rajindra Hospital on Tuesday after getting discharged.
The 31-year-old survivor was the first Coronavirus positive case of the district. According to the reports, he was discharged from the isolation ward on Tuesday evening.
Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, Kumar Amit, congratulated the survivor and wished him good health.
Other than him, district epidemiologist Dr Sumeet Singh, Patiala Civil Surgeon Harish Malhotra and Dr Yuvraj Narang also congratulated the survivor.
The survivor praised the medical staff of the hospital and said, “I thank each and every doctor and the hospital’s medical staff for their care and support. I won this battle against Coronavirus because of them.”
Further, he said that he was scared about the disease initially but after consulting the doctors, he gained some confidence. He also praised the junior doctors as they used to answer all his queries.
Talking about his daily routine, he told that he watched Punjabi comedy movies to release the stress and loneliness in the isolation ward.
Also, he requested the public not to be scared of Coronavirus survivors.
“They are normal people. One should not be scared of them and they should not be ill-treated.”
