Pathankot: Farmer, jarnail Singh cultivate crops without burning straw

The Punjab Government has launched a special campaign to sensitize the farmers to cultivate crop residues without burning them. In this work, the officials of the Agriculture Department are sensitizing the farmers. They are also making the crop residues aware of the benefits of farming without burning them.

Special contribution in this campaign of the government is being made by Jarnail Singh Kisan Jarnail Singh, a retired head master of village Padia Lahri, district Pathankot, who has been cultivating straw and wheat stubble for a long time without setting fire to it. In addition to this, the straw is also making more profit by giving it to the people of Gujjar community.
