This was stated by Mr. Sundar Sam Arora Cabinet Minister Industry and Commerce Punjab Government while addressing the people of the district after hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of District Level Republic Day at Multipurpose Sports Stadium Lamini (Pathankot).

Paying homage to the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country, Chief Guest Mr. Sundar Sam Arora, Cabinet Minister for Industry and Commerce, Punjab Government said that this day would make the dreams of our martyrs / freedom fighters about the future of India come true. He said that Punjabis have excelled in every field and Punjabis have contributed 80 per cent to the freedom struggle of the country and these great martyrs. That is why we are living in an independent Fiza. He said that Punjabi farmers were leading the way in feeding the nation due to their hard work.
