Leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa has criticized the Mann government’s decision to abolish 1050 posts of Patwaris.
Bajwa expressed that the recent decision of the government exposed a “lack of sympathy and understanding about the ground realities on unemployment in Punjab” by the Bhagwant Mann-led government.
“The present dispensation has ignored the fact that there has been a substantial increase in population. The post in the other departments from the lowest to the top, have increased at all levels in other departments. However, ignoring the rising trend of population, instead of increasing the posts of Patwaris, the lowest in the Revenue department, the same has been slashed,” he wrote on Twitter.
He further asked Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann in intervene in the matter and review the decision.
