Pakistani boat seized by BSF from Sutlej river in Punjab

Amid heightened vigil, an empty Pakistani boat was today seized by Border Security Force (BSF) troops from Sutlej river in Punjab’s Ferozepur sector. The boat was probably washed away due to rising water levels in Sutlej River and there had been a number of such instances in various sectors. A Pakistani boat floating in the Sutlej River entered Indian and was seized by the BSF in time, said BSF official adding that the water had been released by Pakistan towards India and due to the flow of which the boat had capsized and entered the Indian border. The boat was thoroughly searched and inspected for security reasons but nothing objectionable was found in it. Further investigations are focused on as to whether it came on its own or under some conspiracy.
