Over 24,000 people screened for coronavirus during door-to-door surveys in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, June 18

Under the ‘Mission Fateh’, 88 teams of the Jalandhar Health department on Wednesday screened 24199 persons during the door-to-door survey of 5839 houses.

Divulging the details, the Civil Surgeon Jalandhar, Dr. Gurinder Chawla said that this survey was being done continuously to check the spread of the coronavirus in the district.

They said that the Health teams visited the houses and conducted the medical screening of the people. They said that no stone was being left unturned for making Jalandhar a Corona free district.

The Civil Surgeon said that till now around 9775 persons were home quarantined by the Health authorities for being in contact with the coronavirus positive persons.

He said that out of these 9166 people have successfully completed their Home quarantine period of 14 days. Further, he said that still quarantine period of another 609 persons were active.
