Outbreak of black fungus continues in Amritsar, 2 more patients

Black fungus continues to plague Amritsar district with two more cases reported in the last few days. The patients who appeared were between 50 and 61 years of age. One of the patients is a resident of village Khiala Khurd while the other is from Tarn Taran Road. A 50-year-old man was not infected with the corona, while a 61-year-old man was reported infected. One is being treated in a private hospital and the other in a private hospital. Combined with these cases, there have been 27 active cases of black fungus in Amritsar district so far. It may be recalled that a third case of white fungus and another case of black and white was registered in Amritsar district on Wednesday. These patients are undergoing toxic treatment at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. Cases of black and white fungus are on the rise in Amritsar and there is a lot of panic among the people. However, a successful surgery for a black fungus patient has been performed by the doctors of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital administration. The number of black fungus positive patients in the district had reached 34 on Wednesday. Four of them have died, while five have recovered. Similarly, a total of three cases of white fungus have been reported.
