One soldier from Himachal Pradesh killed in anti-militancy operation in Kashmir

An anti-militancy operation was carried out in Kreeri in north Kashmir which ended up on Tuesday evening. As per the reports, a militant was killed in the 36-hour-long operation.

Also, two critically injured soldiers succumbed to their injuries. One of them was reportedly from Renukaji in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The battle casualty has been identified as 24-year-old Prashant Thakur.

In a subsequent operation, two militants reportedly including top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Sajid Mir, alias Hyder, and his local associate Anayatullah Mir, were also killed on Monday.
