MLA Sundar Sham Arora said that no stone would be left unturned to preserve the heritage of Hoshiarpur and these heritages would be protected to make the next generation aware of their heritage.
He was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the renovation work of Shish Mahal in the presence of Mayor Surinder Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) and Municipal Commissioner Ashika Jain.
MLA Sundar Sham Arora said that Hoshiarpur is known for its Shish Mahal which has been closed for last 30 years. It came to his notice that this dilapidated building should be secured and the repair work of this building has been started today in collaboration with the administrative authorities. He said that no stone would be left unturned to restore this Shish Mahal so that our future generations would be aware of its rich heritage.
Sundar Sham Arora said that work was being done by skilled craftsmen for the repair of Shish Mahal, for which full preparations have been made by the administration. He said that no shortage of funds would be allowed in this work and Shish Mahal would be opened to the public as before by completing this work at the earliest. He said that this initiative would not only boost the tourism but also increase the market turnover.
