Himachal Pradesh government has opened the state borders and there won’t be any pass or registration required to enter the state. As per the reports, the decision was taken on Tuesday in a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Jai Ram Thakur.
The state has, however, decided not to resume the inter-state public transport in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases. In the last meeting, the cabinet has reportedly decided to extend the system of mandatory registration on covid portal for those who wanted to enter the state till September 15. But now, anybody can visit Himachal Pradesh freely.
According to the reports by The Tribune, the public opinion was in favour of continuing the restrictions but keeping in view of the Centre’s policy of opening up, Himachal has opened its borders for free movement of goods and people.
