District Magistrate Barnala Mr. Tej Partap Singh Phoolka, IAS, exercising his powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, has issued an order that no person shall encroach on government roads, paths and land within the limits of District Barnala. Violators will be prosecuted under section 188 of the IPC.
He also directed that the names and complete address of the persons working under him in the district Barnala who own poultry farms, rice sellers, kilns and other small scale industries and have domestic servants, three pictures (right, left and front) to keep a register in their homes and keep the addresses of all their relatives in writing and send a money order of Rs. 100/200 from the salary of the servant to the address of his close relative. The concerned owners will ensure that the fingerprints on the hands of the servant are recorded in their register and all these records are recorded in the concerned police station and outpost. Similarly the landlord should also register the full details of the tenants to be kept in his house at the concerned police station / police station.
Meanwhile the sale / purchase, storage and use of synthetic / plastic doors / china doors and manja (glass powdered threads) used for kite / doll flying in the district has been completely banned . This restriction will not apply to threaded doors.
These orders will remain in force till December 25 and strict action will be taken against those who violate the orders.
