Under the ‘Punjab Smart Connect Scheme’ launched by the Punjab Government to keep the students of government schools up to date, Constituency MLA Nawanshahr Angad Singh today distributed smartphones to 59 students of Class XII in a simple ceremony at Government Senior Secondary School Nawanshahr. . Under this scheme a total of 445 students of class XII of the school would be provided smartphones. On the occasion MLA Angad Singh said that the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had fulfilled his promise to provide smartphones to the students.
He said that as a young MLA he was always striving to direct the energy of the youth in the right and constructive direction. That is why education and sports are being given top priority by them. He said that a grant of Rs. 5 crore 70 lakh has been brought for the expansion of basic facilities in Government Senior Secondary Smart School Nawanshahr, under which the rejuvenation work of the school would be started soon.
