National People’s Court to convene on September 11: District and Sessions Judge

National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. The National Lok Adalat is being held on September 11, 2021 under the guidelines of the town. This Lok Adalat is being set up from every tehsil of the country to the Supreme Court. Disputes are settled amicably in the National People’s Court. These views were expressed by Harpal Singh, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Sangrur, including the District and Sessions Judge.

He said that 138 NI Act, Bank Recovery Case, Labor Case, Forest Department Case, Electricity, Water, Sewerage, Water Supply, House Tax etc. would be settled in the National Lok Adalat by mutual consent. He said that on September 11, 2021, the National Lok Adalat, Sangrur Headquarters Courts and sub-divisions would also be set up at Malerkotla, Sunam, Dhuri and Moonak.

Under the direction of District and Sessions Judge, Sangrur, Deepti Goyal, PCS Civil Judge (Senior Division) / CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sangrur held a meeting with the bank officials regarding National Lok Adalat.

During the meeting, the bank officials were asked to file maximum number of cases in the National Lok Adalat so that maximum number of cases could be settled through mutual agreement. He said that no further appeal could be lodged against the cases which were settled in the Lok Adalats and the cases were settled through the Lok Adalats in a speedy and friendly manner. He said that the decisions taken in the Lok Adalats were recognized with the degree of Civil Court.
