National Lok Adalat to be held in Batala and Gurdaspur courts on July 10

The National Lok Adalat is being set up on July 10, 2021 at District Court Gurdaspur and Batala Court under the guidance of  Ramesh Kumari District and Sessions Judge-cum-District Legal Services Authority, Gurdaspur. Disclosing this here today Navdeep Kaur Gill, Civil Judge (Senior Division / CGM) cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority has appealed to the people to avail cheap justice easily in the National Lok Adalat. He said that the National Lok Adalat at local courts Gurdaspur and Batala would start hearing the cases on July 10, 2021 from 10 am.

Navdeep Kaur Gill, Civil Judge (Senior Division / CGM) cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority has appealed to the people to file cases in as many Lok Adalats as possible. He said that the decision of the Lok Adalat is final and the court fees are also refunded. This makes it easier for people to get cheap justice. Lok Adalat saves time and money. The decision of these Lok Adalats is recognized as a civil degree and maximum number of cases should be disposed of through these Lok Adalats.

He said that criminal compoundable cases, bank recovery cases, MACT cases, matrimonial, labor disputes, land, electricity and water bills, pay allowance, revenue cases (padding in district and high court courts) etc. have been filed in the National Lok Adalats. . Apart from this, pre-litigation cases like bank recovery cases, labor disputes, electricity and water bills and others are also being prosecuted.
