MLB Art-Theatre Festival holds 17th All India Mushaira

All India Mushaira was organized on Saturday evening at Vivekananda World School Ferozepur on the occasion of the 79th birth anniversary of Mohan Lal Bhaskar, under 17th Mohanlal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival, which mesmerized the audience.

The event was organized in memory of Mohan Lal Bhaskar, a former Indian spy in Pakistan who infiltrated Pakistan 16 times while working as an agent with Indian security agencies, but on the 17th, a double-cross was held. The agent betrayed them. He was sentenced to death by a Pakistani court but returned home on December 9, 1974 under the Shimla Agreement. Later in his autobiography “, I was a spy for India in Pakistan” he wrote about his ordeal in various jails in Pakistan which was awarded the Shrikant Verma National Award in 1989. The book was published in ten languages.

The function was inaugurated by Prabha Bhaskar Chief Patron MLB Educational Society and Foundation. Fayav Farooqi, ADGP Chandigarh, VK Meena Divisional Commissioner Jalandhar, Anumit Hira Sodhi, Commissioner Information Commission, Punjab, Davinder Singh IAS Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur, Lakhbir Singh SSP Vigilance, Suresh Kumar Goel CJM, Om Prakash Commandant BSF and many other dignitaries were also present in the evening event.

On this occasion, MLB Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Harminder Singh Koharwala and Ninder Ghugianvi for commendable contribution in the world of literature, Kumari Hitasha and Sehajpreet Singh for Sports, and Harish Goyal for social work.

Meanwhile, when the satirical poet Sampat Saral, in his satirical style, shocked the audience with his composition “Mann Ki Baat-Kaam”. – “Nowadays we try by reasoning, without mediation, before a decision is made with the sword, let’s meet for the last time”. The audience applauded, when Hindi poet Shakeel Azmi uttered the phrase – Khuda hi khauf hai, bhagwan di moorat vi sundar ai, Magar jb Ma nahi hoti to ghar poora nahi hota”. Abrar Kasif, Abbas Kamar, Altamash Abbas, Esha Naaz, and other poets including Rajesh Mohan, Ismail Raj, Ritaj Mani, Sampat Saral, Tauseef Tabish also enchanted the audience.

On behalf of MLB Foundation, the Director of Vivekananda World School, Dr. NS Rudra welcomed all the guests and the Chairman of the school Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar thanked all the guests for coming.
