For the convenience of deaf and dumb and children with special needs, a hall constructed with grant of Rs.5 lac, was inaugurated by Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA, at Resource Centre for Children with Special Needs.
The drive to accept people with special needs has gained more momentum in the past and it is high time that we as a civilized society accept them in every possible way. Students under Children with Special Needs categories suffering from autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, speech and language disability, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, hearing impaired, severe specific learning disabilities are getting intensive services in these resource centres.
Presently, as many as 25 children are being looked after by the dedicated and devoted staff to give them basic education and training to become a part of the society. During his visit, Pinki also handed over one inverter, warm clothes and diwali gifts for the children with special needs.
