Milkha’s son and golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has confirmed the news, he told the media that Milkha Singh was admitted to Mohali Hospital for 6 days but his health become progressively worse again.
Milkha Singh contracted the corona virus on May 19, after which he was admitted to the hospital on May 24. Milkha Singh’s oxygen was depleted and his body became dehydrated. Milkha Singh’s wife Nirmal Kaur also became corona of corona and is also hospitalized. Milkha Singh’s condition is said to be stable at present.
Known as the Flying Sikh, Milkha Singh is the greatest track and field athlete in the history of Indian sports. Milkha Singh is the only athlete to have won a gold medal in the 400 meters at the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games. Milkha had won gold medals in the 1958 and 1962 Asian Games.
