Man arrested with narcotics pills

On the instructions of Suderville Sri Muktsar Sahib, Ins. Sukhjit Singh in-charge Staff Sri Muktsar Sahib and SI Lavmeet Kaur Chief Officer Kotbhai Police Station led by CIA Staff Muktsar Police Party and Kotbhai Police Party on Tuesday night 25,800 narcotics pills recovered.  A person identified as Parminder Singh alias Gaggu, son of Bachittar Singh, resident of village Samagh. While checking police stopped a motorcycle Paltina PB30T3094  and recovered 25,800 narcotic pills from him. Case No. 26 dated 02.03.2021 has been registered under Section 22 (c) -61/85  of the NDPS Act at Kotbhai police station. The accused will be produced in court today and remanded in police custody. In-depth inquiries will be made as to where the said person gets the supply of drugs and where he further supplies the drugs. The SSP further said that in the last 4 days from 25.02.2021, the police have registered 24 NDPS cases and arrested 23 accused with 38.992 kg of poppy, 20610 kg of opium, 01 kg of opium, 21 grams. Heroin and 68 vials have been recovered.
