Ludhiana Central Zone of PSPCL organises camps to increase the load of agricultural connections

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has launched Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS) to increase the load of agricultural power connections in rural areas following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, regarding which camps were organized at village level by various divisions of Ludhiana Central Zone.

Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that these camps were set up in East, West, Sub Urban and Khanna circles under Ludhiana Central Zone.

Under this series, a camp was organized in Sundar Nagar division of East Circle, in which 31 consumers have availed the benefit of VDS and a total load of 103.85 bhp has been declared. Under this an amount of Rs.2,80,425 has been collected as service connection charge and initial security.

Similarly three camps were set up under West Circle under City West, Estate and Agar Nagar divisions during which a total of 18 consumers have availed the benefit of the scheme and a total load of 68.6 bhp has been declared and a total amount of Rs. Connection charges and initial security are charged.

Under the Sub-Urban Circle, 19 camps were set up in Sub-Urban, Adda Dakha, Jagraon, Raikot and Ahmedgarh divisions, during which 112 consumers took advantage of the scheme and declared a load of 415.5 bhp and Rs 11,38,50 were collected.

While 19 camps were set up in Khanna, Doraha, Sirhind, Amloh and MGG divisions under Khanna Circle, 114 consumers declared 382 bhp under their load video scheme and Rs.10,23,040 was collected as service connection charge and initial security.

He said that a total of 23 VDS were set up during this campaign. Meanwhile, 161 consumers declared their 587.95 bhp load under VideoS scheme and a total amount of Rs.11,89,875 (entire Ludhiana zone) was recovered as service connection charge and initial security.

On this occasion Chief Engineer of Ludhiana Central Zone Er Parvinder Singh Khamba appealed to the consumers to avail maximum benefits of this scheme. He said that under this scheme the load can be increased on the spot by paying only Rs. 2700 and producing all the documents.
