City-based leading architect Sanjay Goel has been awarded by Chandigarh Center of Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) for his outstanding concrete structure building design of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road, Ludhiana, in the Educational Category.
Goel is Chief Architect of Designex Architects, Ludhiana. On receiving the award, he said, “Winning this award is a testament to the dedication and creativity of our entire team. Architecture is not just about designing buildings; it’s about creating spaces that inspire and uplift communities. This recognition fuels our passion to continue pushing boundaries and shaping environments that leave a lasting impact.”
Ar Sanjay Goel said, “The new building of Nankana Sahib Public School is located within the old campus and very strong both architecturally and structurally from inside as well as outside.” He added designing is on a traditional courtyard concept so that school building is maximum environment friendly. The school building is five storey and connecting bridges on every floor are architecturally very strong.
The Award was also presented to the school and it was received by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust director Inderpal Singh and the structural consultant of the school building Prof Harvinder Singh.
Principal of the school Harmeet Kaur has congratulated everyone especially the architectural team led by Ar Sanjay Goel for winning the award.
It may be mentioned here that ex-Mayor Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana HS Gohalwaria and Tara Singh are among the members of the school managing committee.
