Another important decision taken by the state government headed by Capt. Amarinder Singh was to provide a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh to the beneficiary for running his own business related to farming. This information was given by the Chief Minister’s Political Adviser and MLA Faridkot. Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon. He said that this loan was being provided by Agriculture Development Bank, Faridkot. The scheme was discontinued for the last few years and now the state government has given an amount of Rs. 2 crore to the District Agriculture Development Bank for this scheme.
Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon informed that this loan scheme has been re-launched by the Agriculture Development Bank for the construction of allied occupations such as dairy, animal husbandry, goat rearing, pig rearing, poultry farms, tractors and house building. He said that with the introduction of this scheme the small farmers would get a lot of benefits as the big landlords used to get loans from the commercial banks but the small farmers would stay away from it. He specially thanked Capt. Amarinder Singh for the amount of Rs. 2 crore provided by the state government and hoped that the needy farmers would start their own business by availing maximum benefits of this scheme.
