On behalf of Kirti Kisan Union, a grand conference was organized today in the historical village Dina Sahib of Moga district which was dedicated to the 350th birth anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
Addressing the conference, Kirti Kisan Union state president Nirbhai Singh Dhudike and vice president Rajinder Singh Deep Singh Wala said that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur fought against feudalism and created landless landowners and suppressed caste discrimination for thousands of years. He was made the owner of the land, which could not be maintained even after his martyrdom. The peasant leaders said that the French Revolution took place in 1789 and broke the feudal system and in 1710 Baba Banda Singh Bahadur started the same revolution.
Farmer leaders said that agricultural laws would not only destroy the farmers but also the entire economy.
