Kharar Municipal Council elections postponed once again

Today’s election of Kharar Municipal Council could not be held once again, the reason for not holding the election was not getting permission from the Deputy Commissioner due to corona. The reason for the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership not holding the elections was not the Corona epidemic but the bullying of the Punjab government. At Kharar, the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership accompanied by its MC held a press conference. Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra said that this was the second time that the election had been postponed. A party committee is being formed due to which this election has been postponed. “Earlier also there were orders to hold elections on the orders of the High Court and now we will go to the court again and explain how the rules of the court are not being followed,” he said. Sikander Singh Maluka, President, Shiromani Akali Dal Kisan Wing, who was present at the press conference, said that the government should take care of the situation before imposing a lockdown so that the farmers would not be disturbed in any way. He demanded that the time should be improved by 9 o’clock. Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that a good section 144 of lockdown should be imposed. He said that during Corona, the livelihood of the poor was getting difficult and at the same time the exchequer of the government was being filled due to liquor contracts.
