Job Fair: 516 candidates obtained jobs in world renowned companies

Under the flagship programme of Punjab Govt ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission’, world renowned companies today provided jobs to 516 candidates in a third event of 7th Mega Job Fairs organised at Rayat Bahra University kharar (SAS Nagar).

Deputy Director District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), Meenakshi Goyal apprised that prominent employers like Reliance, HDFC, Tata AIG, Puma Source, Kotak Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Pukhraj, Zomato, HCL, etc. participated in the present Job Fair and provided jobs to 516 candidates, while 41 candidates have been selected for skill training, besides 52 for self-employment. She said that Vice-Chanceller of Rayat and Bahra University Dr. Parvinder Singh was the chief guest on this occasion, while Prof. B.S. SATYAL Registrar also attended the fair as distinguished guest. Mrs. Goyal further divulged that more than 750 candidates attended the third Job Fair.

Addressing the candidates, VC Dr. Parvinder Singh urged youth to take optimum benefit from these Job Fairs being organised by the Punjab Government and District Administration and be proud on your economical independence after getting employment. For the success of the present Job Fair, Mr. Amit Singh Director Corporate Relations Rayat Bahra University kharar made vigorous efforts for arrangements and mobilization of students/candidates. GoG’s and VLE’s played a vital role for making the event successful.

During the event, exhibition was also held by different Government departments showcased various schemes related to self-Employment. Candidates were also provided literature and brochures regarding the schemes run by various departments. Deputy CEO of DBEE Manjesh Sharma, Employment Officer Mr. Harpreet Sidhu were also present along with other officials.
