Lending a helping hand to a 70-Years-old lady Kamlesh Kumari (Bebe Ji), who is running a tiny Parantha shop in the Phagwara Gate market in the evening till midnight for about 30 years, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today has issued a cheque of financial aid worth Rs. 50,000. SDM Dr. Jaiinder Singh accompanied by District Social Security Officer Varinder Bains today visited the house of Kamlesh Kumari in Parkash Nagar locality and handed over the cheque to her besides inquiring about her well-being.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that on the direction of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh this financial assistance from the CSR funds has been provided to her as an encouragement to this elderly entrepreneur. In addition to this, the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder has also announced a financial help of Rs. One Lakh adding the deputy commissioner said that the aid would soon be provided to the Kamlesh Kumari. Further, the Chief Minister has directed the administration to offer its services to the old lady to help her to meet her daily needs, added the Deputy Commissioner.
Thori categorically said that the district administration was committed to providing all the necessary help to Kamlesh Kumari. The Sub Divisional Magistrate today visited her home and asked about her problems if any so that the maximum help could be extended to Kamlesh Kumari, The Deputy Commissioner added.
