Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar on Saturday condoled the sad demise of Senior journalist S.K. Vyas (78) passed away at Tagore Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
In a condolence message, the Deputy Commissioner described late Vyas as an upright journalist committed to his profession. He said that he was a fine journalist and discharged his duties fearlessly in the time of Pandemic. He also assured fulsome support to the family of Vyas in the future.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of bereaved family, friends and relatives, the DC prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that he was in constant touch with hospital management with regard to Journalist Vyas’s treatment and was taking regular updates about his well-being.
Pertinently, S.K. was a yellow-card holder journalist with the department of information and Public Relations. He was a journalist with the digital news website Babushahi.com.
